Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas called at Singapore for the first time today.
The recently refurbished ship carried 3,200 passengers to the city, following an 11-night ‘Middle East and Asia Cruise’ that started in Dubai and included calls at Goa, Kochi, Penang and Kuala Lumpur.
Explorer of the Seas will now embark on a 10-night cruise from Singapore to Perth with another 3,200 passengers, mainly from Australia. This voyage will include calls at Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi and Phuket.
The 15-deck ship was revamped earlier this year with new features including a surfing simulator, 3D movie theatre and new F&B concepts.
Explorer of the Seas is the sixth Royal Caribbean ship that has visited Singapore this year, following Voyager of the Seas, Mariner of the Seas, Rhapsody of the Seas, Legend of the Seas and Quantum of the Seas.
Following its arrival in Perth, the ship will sail to Sydney to embark on a series of Australian and South Pacific cruises until March 2016.
