Marrying music and the art of spa treatment, Hard Rock Hotels has introduced Rhythm and Motion, the world’s first fully-immersive music-centric spa menu at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife in the Canary Islands, Spain.

Earlier this year, Hard Rock Hotels introduced Rock Om, an in-room yoga practice that energises the body through the power of music. But the infusion of music on Hard Rock’s services doesn’t stop there as the brand offers  Rhythm and Motion – part of its Rock Spa menu which uses amplified vibrations, pressures, and patterns as the foundation of the spa journey.

The experience was initially introduced at Hard Rock Hotel Tenerife in the Canary Islands but the treatments are now available across entire brand portfolio. The Rhythm and Motion treatment uses bass vibrations, applied through the massage table, and high audio frequencies from above, which sends pulses through the body, as part of a ritual that inspires spa-goers to embrace its mantra of ‘Live hard, purify harder‘.

The Wrap Mix

The Rhythm and Motion treatments at the Rock Spa include the Wrap Mix and the Smooth Operator. The Wrap Mix is designed to detoxify guests by wrapping them up in a full body treatment. It begins with a cleansing shot of ginger tea to jumpstart the detox process, followed by a brisk, rhythmical Sweetgrass-inspired dry brushing.

After the detox wrap to nourish the skin, the treatment is followed by a 50-minute Rhythm and Motion massage and cleansing facial mask. Finishing off the treatment, guests are treated to a shot of Rock Spa Detox Tea.

The Smooth Operator

In comparison, the Smooth Operator retunes the skin with a two-part treatment, removing impurities and adding nourishing elements. The treatment also includes a rhythmic dry brushing with Sweetgrass, which slowly washes rough skin away. Finally, closing the treatment is a soothing detoxifying wrap, to release toxins and hydrate the skin.

The Wrap Mix is priced at GBP 160 (USD 210) and The Smooth Operator is priced at GBP 115.
