Royal Caribbean’s Voyager of the Seas cruise liner will offer guests the chance to practice their surfing skills, without leaving the ship.
As part of a drydock revamp in Singapore later this year, the ship will see the addition of a FlowRider surfing simulator.
This novel attraction will allow passengers to surf, boogie board or wake board on the 12-metre-long surfing simulator, or watch others from the accompanying stadium seating. Private lessons will also be available for those that want to hone their skills.
The 14-deck, 3,840-passenger Voyager of the Seas will be equipped with the new attraction in October this year, before embarking on a cruise to Australia on 25 November 2014. It will then return to Asia in 2015.
As well as the surf simulator, the ship also includes an ice-skating rink, full-sized sports court, in-line skating track and rock-climbing wall, plus a 3D movie theatre.
