Royal Jordanian will make its debut in Indonesia on 23 December, with the launch of a new service between Amman and Jakarta.

The inaugural flight will take off from Amman’s Queen Alia International Airport in the early hours of Wednesday morning, marking the start of a new thrice weekly service that operates with a stop in Kuala Lumpur.

Flights will depart Jordan’s capital city every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 0130 and arrive in Jakarta at 1825. The return flights will the leave the Indonesian capital at 1955 and arrive back in Amman at 0415 the following day.

The route will be operated using a 283-seat, two-class Airbus A330-200 aircraft.

Jakarta becomes Royal Jordanian’s fourth destination in East Asia, following Hong Kong, Bangkok and KL, and the airline’s regional expansion will continue in January 2016 with the launch of flights to Guangzhou.
