Sabre has added 63,000 more hotels to its collection of GDS-bookable properties following a deal with the Expedia Affiliate Network (EAN).
This means that, effective immediately, travel agents using the Sabre Red Workspace will have access to all EAN rates and availability though the GDS. The deal boosts Sabre’s total global hotel content to more than 750,000 properties.
“Travel agencies will have more hotel options to offer their customers,” said Shelly Terry, Sabre’s vice president of travel product solutions.
“Additionally, more hotels in the Sabre travel marketplace will have the ability to merchandise their products, property attributes and personalise offerings to travelers. These are just a few ways Sabre provides hoteliers products to differentiate themselves and that is a powerful tool for travel buyers.”
The additional EAN content comprises a range of property types, including full-service hotels and resorts, B&Bs and inns, airport hotels, boutique hotels, budget hotels and serviced apartments. Many of the properties are in Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
“Expedia Affiliate Network is excited to bring thousands of new properties across the globe to Sabre’s valued partner network. Expedia is continuing to grow hotel supply by thousands of hotels each month and the Sabre agent community will have the ability to deliver more solutions to their customers,” said Christian Gerron, vice president of sales for EAN.
