Sabre and Malaysia Airlines recently co-hosted an event to celebrate their long-standing relationship and to recognise their top Malaysian travel agency partners.
Held at Zouk in Kuala Lumpur on Friday, the occasion gathered 200 local travel agency representatives and awarded the ‘Most Productive Travel Agent for 2015’ prize to Mayflower Corporate Travel Services. The prize was a Toyota Vios.
“Through our… relationship with Sabre we are maximising the most efficient distribution channels for Malaysia Airlines while ensuring that travel agents and travel management companies, locally and overseas, have access to the best fares and flight information,” said Laurent Recoura, Malaysia Airlines’ head of sales.
“We are delighted to have the opportunity to personally thank our travel agency partners in Malaysia for their ongoing support.”
The two companies ran a series of joint travel agency incentive promotions throughout 2015 to drive more Malaysia Airlines bookings through Sabre.
“We are constantly exploring new ways for airlines to differentiate and efficiently distribute their content through the travel agency channel,” said Hans Belle, Sabre Travel Network’s vice president of supplier commerce & strategic partnerships for Asia Pacific. “Our booking promotion campaigns with Malaysia Airlines are just one example of the creative ways we work to deliver solutions that achieve impactful results for their business.”
