Sabres adds new car rental booking function

Sabre Travel Network has added new car rental booking functions to its Red Workspace.
The first allows travel agents to automatically run up the total cost of car rental and four added extras such as satnav or booster seats on specific dates when booking with Sixt. In addition, travel agents booking Sixt and Europcar will be able to add up the commission they will make on a car hire booking.
“Shopping and booking car rental used to be a laborious task for agents as they would have to manually work out the total cost if their client wanted to book a child’s seat, a SatNav system or mobile Wifi,” said Elisabeth Martins, commercial director UK & Ireland at Sabre.
“The enhancement within the Sabre Red Workspace will save agents valuable time, allowing them to deliver better and more efficient customer service while saving their business time and money”.
