Saga Travel has launched a new online training programme for travel agents.
The ‘Saga Experts’ programme was unveiled on 10 December, and according to Saga, 260 agents completed the course within the first 24 hours. In total 662 agents have now registered, with 473 completing the course in less than a week.
The first 50 agents that completed the course will receive £50 in Love2shop vouchers to spend in the New Year sales.
Jeannette Linfoot, managing director for Saga’s tour operating division commented; “We’re overwhelmed by the positive response from trade agents to the launch of our online training programme. Within the first few days there were hundreds of new Saga Experts created and they’re raring to go.
“We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the warm welcome we’ve received from the trade throughout our first year and we have really exciting and ambitious plans for the future. We’re very lucky to have such a great internal team that have managed to bring our agency trade sales to life but we want to do more to support and excite the agents that work with us,” she added.
Saga Travel started selling through the trade in October 2014.
