Thailand’s Sala Hospitality Group has unveiled its latest boutique hotel, Sala Ayutthaya.

Located on the banks of the Chao Phraya River in the UNESCO-listed former Thai capital, the new hotel overlooks the famous Wat Phutthaisawan temple.

The property offers just 26 rooms and suites, many of which feature views of the river and temple, including a two-level riverfront unit and a suite with its own private swimming pool. Hotel facilities include a riverside restaurant and bar offering indoor and outdoor dining, a swimming pool and spa.

“Sala Ayutthaya is one of our most exciting new developments,” said Brian Moodie, Sala’s chief operating officer. “We are breaking new ground literally and figuratively in this wonderful, vibrant city by being the first and only five-star branded property in the area.”

The new Ayutthaya property becomes the seventh Sala in Thailand, following the Sala Khao Yai, Sala Lanna Chiang Mai, Sala Rattanakosin Bangkok, Sala Samui and Sala Phuket.
