Scoot deploys Dreamliners on all Australian routes

Scoot has confirmed that from 1 May 2015, all of its Australian routes will be operated by its new fleet of Boeing 787 Dreamliners.
The Singapore-based airline’s third B787 will be deployed to the Gold Coast from Friday 1 May, becoming the third Australian route served by the Dreamliner, following Perth and Sydney. Scoot also plans to start flying its Dreamliner to Melbourne when the new service starts in November 2015.
Outside Australia, Scoot’s Hong Kong and Bangkok routes are already operated using B787s.
Scoot’s latest Dreamliner arrived in Singapore on 26 April. Like the previous two, the new aircraft is a B787-9 model offering 375 seats in two classes. All passengers are offered in-seat power outlets and Wi-Fi.
“Scoot’s Dreamliners have raised the bar for budget travel,” said Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson. “Everyone’s loving the extra comfy seats, new cabin environment that’s literally more refreshing, features such as in-flight internet connectivity and in-seat power, along with all the other features people have come to expect from Scoot.”
And with more B787s expected to join Scoot’s fleet in the coming months, the airline is planning to increase the frequency of its Sydney and Perth routes to daily, and its Gold Coast route to five flights per week. Melbourne will commence with five weekly flights on 1 November 2015.
