Scoot will increase the number of flights it operates to Bangkok this summer, with the deployment of its brand new Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the city.
From 8 July 2015, the Singaporean low-cost carrier will add three more weekly flights to its existing daily service to the Thai capital’s Don Mueang Airport, taking the total frequency to 10 flights per week.
And all of these flights will be operated using Scoot’s new 375-seat, two-class B787-9 aircraft, which will be deployed on the Bangkok route from May.
“The additional services to Don Mueang will give our guests more choice and options. The new convenient departure time from Singapore means you’ll arrive into Bangkok just in time for… lunch,” said Scoot’s CEO, Campbell Wilson. “And in May this year, we’ll be introducing the 787 Dreamliner to Thailand, offering our guests better in-flight experience.”
The three extra weekly flights to Bangkok will depart Singapore’s Changi Airport every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday at 0845, arriving at Don Mueang Airport at 1010. The return flights then leave Bangkok at 0330 the next morning, getting back into Singapore at 0645.
This will complement the existing 1735 daily departure from Singapore, which returns from Bangkok at 2015 (moving to 2045 from 29 March 2015).
The new B787-9 Dreamliners come equipped with two cabins, economy and ScootBiz – the airline’s premium economy product. All seats come fitted with in-seat power outlets and Wi-Fi.
