The Seabourn Odyssey luxury cruise liner has arrived in Australia to start its summer season.
The 450-passenger ship made it first Australian call in Darwin today (12 December 2013), and will spend the next week sailing the waters of northern Australia, with calls at Townsville and Cairns, before arriving in Brisbane on 21 December.
It will then arrive in Sydney on 23 December – the first of three summer calls to Australia’s largest city. In total, the luxury liner will make 22 calls at 11 Australian ports over the next few months.
Meanwhile, sister ship Seabourn Sojourn will call at 11 Australian ports during its second trip Down Under, including overnight visits to Sydney, Adelaide and Fremantle.
After arriving from New Zealand on 8 February 2014, as part of a 116-day world cruise, the ship will move to Sydney, and then spend 19 days cruising to the Western Australian coast, before sailing to Bali.
The Seabourn Sojourn and Seabourn Odyssey both offer all-suite accommodation for 450 passengers and including such facilities as large spas, libraries, boutiques, watersports marinas, outdoor pools and restaurants.
