Seabourn launches ‘most robust’ Alaska and British Columbia cruise itinerary

Alaska and British Columbia are known for their open spaces, mountains and forests with abundant wildlife and small towns – making them the perfect sightseeing destination.

Luxury cruise operator, Seabourn, has curated a new selection of voyages sailing out of Anchorage, Alaska and Vancouver, British Columbia. The itineraries offer stops in some of the region’s popular destinations along with rarely visited ports. Passengers can enjoy the views from the Seabourn Sojourn which accommodates just 458 guests; its compact size proves to be an advantage when it comes to manoeuvring through America’s Last Frontier.

Seabourn SojournSeabourn’s Alaska and British Columbia voyages include stops to rarely visited locations such as Alert Bay and Klemtu, a town of fewer than 500 people. Guests can explore cities and towns including the state capital of Juneau, Ketchikan, and historical Sitka, whose indigenous Tlingit roots go back 10,000 years. In certain areas such as the Misty Fjords, guests will be able to explore wildlife-rich waterways, forested mountain vistas and waterfalls up close.

Austin added: “Our optional Ventures by Seabourn excursions will offer more choices this season than any other luxury travel experience in the region. Combined with a full slate of additional shore excursions and a consistent, intuitive luxury experience on the ship, there is simply no better way to see this captivating part of the world.”

Each of the cruises will include complimentary Seabourn all-weather jackets; Seabourn Conversations with guest speakers; opportunities for frequent wildlife sightings from the ship and shore; and a ‘Caviar on the Ice’ deck party and other events. In addition, Seabourn is offering the Denali Experience, an optional Seabourn Journey available before or after select Seabourn Alaska voyages.
