Marriott International has launched its second Renaissance hotel in Beijing.
Located in the centre of the Chinese capital, overlooking the Forbidden City, the 329-room Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel is set in a distinctive building that features two contrasting sides, said to represent the ancient and modern aspects of the city.
“This is an exciting time for Renaissance Hotels and for our guests who are discovering fabulous new design, local culinary inspiration and discovery around every corner,” said Henry Lee, Marriott’s chief operations officer for Greater China.
“We are thrilled to once again introduce the excitement of Renaissance Hotels to the ancient heart of the capital, embracing the spirit of this fabled destination.”
The new hotel features a range of facilities, including three restaurants and a bar, a club lounge overlooking the Forbidden City, an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa. For the corporate market there is also a large ballroom and five meeting rooms.
Renaissance Beijing Wangfujing Hotel joins the Renaissance Beijing Capital in the city and takes the brand’s nationwide portfolio to 18 hotels, including six in Shanghai, three in Tianjin and additional properties in Suzhou, Wuhan, Sanya, Huizhou, Guiyang, Chengdu and Hong Kong.
