Malaysia wants to stop rude cabbies in their tracks – by putting them
through school, the New Straits Times reported.
Newly-appointed Tourism Minister Azalina Othman Said has proposed a
training centre to teach manners to taxi drivers and other tourism
industry frontliners.
The NST quoted the Minister as saying that the quality of frontliners such as
taxi drivers must be addressed once and for all to ensure Malaysia did not
lose precious tourist dollars.
“There is no point in promoting Malaysia if we cannot get repeat
tourists,” she was quoted saying.
