VietJet Air has marked the launch of a new route by dressing its cabin crew in Hawaiian costumes.

The sexy outfits were worn on the new Vietnamese low-cost carrier’s inaugural service between Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC) and Cam Ranh International Airport – the gateway to the beach resort of Nha Trang. The flight attendants entertained passengers with an in-flight Hawaiian dance.

“Our new route [is] in line with our plan to expand the domestic network in 2012, which will cover most of key destinations in the country. It is expected to meet demand for residents and tourists of the southern Vietnam and surrounding countries looking for quick and convenient access to Nha Trang. We will soon increase the route’s flight frequency and set to connect it with VietJetAir’s coming international flights,” said Pritam Singh, General Director of VietJet Air.

The HCMC-Nha Trang route will now be operated four times a week (every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday) using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

VietJetAir now operates 11 daily flights between four Vietnamese hubs: HCMC, Hanoi, Danang and Nha Trang. A new route connecting HCMC with Haiphong will be launched in October 2012, while the airline is also considering launching services to Hue and Vinh.
