Shangri-La Hotels & Resorts has officially assumed management of Traders Hotel Brisbane, marking the brand’s entry into the Australian market.
The 191-room property, which was formerly a Holiday Inn, is located above the Brisbane Transit Centre. It marks the hotel group’s third venture in the continent following the recent acquisition of the 563-room Shangri-La Hotel Sydney and its current majority stake in Shangri-La Hotel The Marina in Cairns.
“We are thrilled to debut the Traders brand in Australia,” said the hotel’s GM, Bruno Cristol. “Brisbane is a strategic feeder destination to other major Australian cities and we believe Traders’ ‘Be Ready’ philosophy is an excellent fit for visitors to this dynamic city.”
The 191-room, 13-storey Traders Hotel Brisbane will offer a range of facilities including 700m² of conference and event space, a business centre, restaurant, bar and a rooftop fitness centre with jacuzzis.
