After eight months of redevelopment, Shangri-La Hotel Singapore will unveil its new-look Tower Wing on 16 May 2017.
The project has included a refreshed lobby, rooms and suites, three restaurants and an upgraded club lounge. Guests will also be greeted in the new lobby by a piece of ceiling art created by Japanese designer Hirotoshi Sawada, which is intended to be “reminiscent of a tree canopy”.
The Tower Wing’s 503 rooms and suites include a series of family options and a brand new 250m² Grand Suite. Guests who book the Horizon Club Rooms will have access to the 24th floor Horizon Club Lounge, which is open 24 hours a day.
The new F&B concepts at the wing include the Lobby Lounge, ShopHouse – a “grab and go retail concept” – and Nami Restaurant and Bar, a Japanese outlet located on level 24.
“We have introduced new elements that smooth out the transition between work and life in a city, so you feel completely comfortable whether you are residing on a business trip, an event or a family staycation. We cannot wait to welcome everyone back to rediscover the Shangri-La,” said Reto Klauser, vice president & general manager of the Shangri-La Singapore.
The hotel has three wings in total – the 503-room Tower Wing, 158-room Garden Wing and 131-room Valley Wing – spread across six hectares of land.
