Shangri-La‘s repositioning of the Traders Hotel brand has continued with the launch of the first Hotel Jen in mainland China.
The former Traders Hotel Upper East Beijing has now been renamed as the Hotel Jen Upper East Beijing. As part of the relaunch, it will roll-out a series of new brand concepts, including free Wi-Fi, free online newspapers, set-price laundry services and complimentary coffee, flavoured waters, iced teas and snack boxes.
“The opening of Hotel Jen Upper East Beijing is extremely important for our organisation. We’ve built a strong brand presence in China over the last 30 years and have been at the forefront of hotel expansion in China,” said Greg Dogan, president & CEO of Shangri-La.
“True to the new brand, the Hotel Jen Upper East Beijing team is embracing the changing demands of China’s more independently minded travellers and we are proud to introduce the Hotel Jen brand in key cities in China to meet the needs of our existing and new Chinese customers.”
The rebranding of all Traders hotels to Hotel Jen started last year and will continue in the coming months with the relaunch of the Traders Shenyang on 28 March 2015 and Traders Puteri Harbour in Johor Bahru on 1 April 2015.
And Shangri-La said it plans to expand the Hotel Jen concept globally in the future.
