Sharjah puts Emirati heritage in spotlight

Emirati heritage is in the spotlight once again by Sharjah Tourism.
The tourism board showcased activities and celebration of Emirati heritage and culture at the recently concluded ITB Berlin. Festivals, events and tourist attractions were talked about along with updates from the Heritage Corner featuring live performances and activities celebrating the best of UAE’s culture, cuisine, folklore, arts including henna-painting etc.
HE Khalid Jasim Al Midfa, director general, Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority, (SCTDA) said: “Sharjah offers modern and high-end hotels, well-developed tourism infrastructure that goes with an endless museums, archaeological sites, rich heritage, diverse cultural and scientific research centers and archaeological sites.”
