Shurooq to tap into German market

In a bid to promote Sharjah as a regional hub for investment, the Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq) is organising seminars in Germany next month, as reported by WAM.
The first seminar will be held on 3 March at Handelskammer, Hamburg, and the second, at IHK Berlin. They will comprise presentations focused on four key investment sectors: Travel and Tourism, Transportation and Logistics, Environment and Healthcare.
In addition to seminars, Shurooq will be participating at ITB Berlin with a delegation that includes Marwan Al Sarkal, CEO of Sharjah Investment and Development Authority , Ahmed Obaid Al Qaseer, chief operating officer, Elie Armaly, director of business development, Fidel Faraj, head of asset management and Hatem Heidar, tourism executive.
Marwan bin Jassim Al Sarkal, CEO of Shurroq said: “Trade between UAE and Germany has flourished to record levels. Berlin and Hamburg are two of Europe’s most prosperous and affluent cities, famous for establishing world-class industries across the business spectrum. These seminars are crucial to showcasing Sharjah’s offering across four sectors that are certain to dominate the headlines.”
