SilkAir touches down in Hanoi
SilkAir has commenced flights to Hanoi.
The Singapore-based airline touched down in the Vietnamese capital for the first time on Tuesday (5 June), and will now fly the route three times a week (Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays) using a two-class Airbus A319 or A320 aircraft.
Flight depart Singapore’s Changi airport at 1515 and arrive in Hanoi at 1735. The return service departs Hanoi at 1815 and arrives back into Singapore at 2230.
“We are delighted to be adding Hanoi to our network and expanding our presence in Vietnam,” said SilkAir’s Chief Executive, Marvin Tan. “With our flights complementing Singapore Airlines’ daily service to Hanoi, the additional services will also offer our customers enhanced connectivity to the 96 international cities in 37 countries in the joint Singapore Airlines-SilkAir network.”
The Hanoi launch marks the third new route for SilkAir in the past four months, following the start of flights to Darwin on 26 March and Wuhan on 24 April.
