SilverNeedle Hospitality has continued to expand its Sage Hotels brand in Australia with the signing of a new property in Melbourne.
The new Sage Hotel Ringwood will form part of new hotel and shopping complex being developed by QIC. The six-storey hotel will feature 120 rooms and several function spaces.
“Sage Hotel Ringwood brings good growth and infrastructure prospects because it is a gateway to the Yarra. Its mixed-used design, with shopping and dining options, is key to attract travellers who want to experience local, which gives the area more opportunities to benefit from the increase in tourism dollars,” said Cameron Stewart, SilverNeedle’s managing director for Australia & New Zealand.
This announcement follows the most recent opening of Sage Hotel West Perth in May 2016. Other Sage Hotels are currently operating in Adelaide and Wollongong, and SilverNeedle also plans to open the Sage Brisbane early next year.
And with two more Sage Hotels slated to open in 2017 and 2018, the brand’s Australian portfolio will reach seven hotels in the coming years.
