SilverNeedle Hospitality has added a new riverside hotel in Bangkok to its boutique “SilverNeedle Collection”.
Set on the banks of the Chao Praya River in the historic Rattankosin area of the Thai capital, Riva Arun is located close to some of Bangkok’s most popular visitor attractions, such as the Grand Palace and Wat Pho, and overlooks Wat Arun on the opposite bank. It features just 25 rooms and suites with views of either the river or old city.
Facilities include a rooftop Thai restaurant, Above Riva, plus the riverside Riva Café and a private pier.
“Thailand is a primary growth country for SilverNeedle Hospitality and Bangkok is a continuously growing destination for international tourists,” said Francis Zimmerman, SilverNeedle’s managing director for Southeast Asia.
“We’re delighted to apply the SilverNeedle management expertise to Riva Arun and welcome guests to this one-of-a-kind property. Riva Arun offers business and leisure travellers a unique, refined and authentic Thai experience.”
Riva Arun becomes the second Bangkok riverside property in the SilverNeedle Collection, following the existing Riva Surya which is located further upstream. A boat will connect the two hotels and guests at Riva Arun will be able to use the Riva Surya’ facilities, including its riverside swimming pool.
Other propertied in the SilverNeedle Collection include the 137 Pillars House Chiang Mai and Kirdara Luang Prabang.
