Silversea’s luxury liner, the Silver Shadow, made its inaugural call at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre in Singapore today (15 November 2012).

The Silver Shadow’s maiden voyage to the new cruise terminal forms part of the 382-passenger ship’s nine-day voyage to Hong Kong, which also stops at Ho Chi Minh City, Nha Trang and Halong Bay.

To mark the occasion a ceremony was held on the vessel, with Steve Odell, Silversea’s President for Europe & Asia Pacific, exchanging plaques with Melvin Vu, CEO of SATS-Creuers Cruise Services.

“We’re excited to be here at the Marina Bay Cruise Centre and we congratulate SATS-Creuers on this new facility. Its location with the Singapore skyline backdrop is truly stunning” said Odell.

The 28,000m² terminal features two berths designed to accommodate the world’s largest ships. It was officially opened on 22 October 2012.
