Singapore’s national carrier Singapore Airlines is to use Airbus A380 on its Shanghai to Singapore route from 27 October.
The firm, which currently runs the service 35 times per week during the summer and 28 during the winter, uses Boeing 777s for the route. The installation of A380s, which will be on five flights per week, is due to increase the overall seat capacity between Singapore and Shanghai by 12%.
Singapore Air, along with its regional airline, SilkAir, operates 116 weekly flights.
