Egyptair recently signed a five-year contract with SITA for implementation, management and modernization of the airline’s entire communications network.
This will provide mission-critical connectivity to Egyptair’s headquarters and across more than 190 sites around the globe. The new connectivity will ensure increase in operational efficiency.
The announcement follows SITA’s recent appointments to work with the Egyptian Airports Company (EAC) and Hurghada International Airport.
Egyptair Holding Company’s chairman and CEO, Sherif Fathi, said: “We are constantly searching for ways to enhance our operational efficiency. SITA is offering us a communications solution that covers all of our domestic and international sites and connects them to our headquarters.”
The airline will benefit from the private network with a centralized and secured breakout to the internet and to Egyptair hosts. In addition, SITA’s ServiceNet will allow fast and secure access to more than 20 third-party services from Egyptair’s existing IP VPN connections. As part of the agreement, the airline will also deploy SITA messaging services in order to exchange mission-critical information with its partners across the air transport community.
