Fore Management Group and Asean Events has announced that cloud solutions provider, SiteMinder, will be the title sponsor of the 2018 Bangkok Hospitality Challenge, a charity golf event.

SiteMinder is a cloud platform which allows hotels to attract, reach and convert guests. Its products include an online distribution platform, a direct booking engine, a website creator for independent hotels, a real-time market intelligence solution and a GDS that connects travel agents to the world. The company has more than 30,000 hotel customers and has a presence in more than 160 countries on six continents.

As the title sponsor for the 2018 Bangkok Hospitality Challenge, SiteMinder will support the cause by raising a target of THB 100,000 (USD 3,000) for both the Yim Kids Foundation, an Accor initiative to improve the health, education and well-being of Thai children in need, and The Beaumont Partnership Foundation, which aims to give quality education at all levels of society in Thailand.

Chris Watson, managing director of Fore Management Group, said: “We are delighted to have SiteMinder as our title sponsor, one of the hospitality industry’s leading brands in Asia and, indeed, around the world. We look forward to working with the SiteMinder team to make the 2018 Bangkok Hospitality Challenge the premier corporate golf event of the year here in Bangkok and one to remember.”

The Bangkok Hospitality Challenge brings together decision makers from the hospitality and tourism industry for a day of networking, knowledge-sharing, and competition on the greens. The first instalment of the event which was held in November 2017 raised THB 200,000 for kids’ charities and attracted more than 120 industry players. This success now paves the way for even bigger numbers at this year’s event to be held on 15 November at The Vintage Club, Khlong Dan.

“Every person should have the opportunity to unleash their potential”

Glenn Andrews, SiteMinder’s managing director – Asia, said: “We are proud to support the Bangkok Hospitality Challenge, an initiative that successfully unites our industry for two great causes. At SiteMinder, we have a belief that every person should have the opportunity to unleash their potential and we are delighted to be involved with an event that shares this value, and strives to continually give back to the much less fortunate in our community.”
