Sokha, the Cambodian hotel group, has introduced its Teppanyaki restaurant concept to its new property in Siem Reap.

Takezono Teppanyaki is now open at the Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center, becoming the hotel’s fifth restaurant. It also becomes the second Takezono restaurant in Siem Reap, following the introduction of the concept to the Sokha Angkor Resort a few years ago.

“As a brand, Sokha is more than an hotelier,” explained Vannak Hang, acting general manager of Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center. “Food plays a significant role in every culture; it is an extension of our hospitality. We hope to offer an authentic Japanese cuisine more widely so more people can experience this important part of Sokha.”

Overseen by Chef Kunihiko Hamada, the new restaurant will specialise in Teppanyaki and sushi. Open daily, Takezono Teppanyaki will be able to seat 180 diners at a time.

Sokha Siem Reap Resort & Convention Center became the Cambodian city’s largest hotel when it opened last year.
