South African Airways has announced it will boost its services on Mumbai-Johannesburg sector. The airline will up capacity from its current five
flights to flying seven times a week from 3 October 2012. The non-stop daily flight from Mumbai to Johannesburg comes on the heels of the fifth weekly frequency the airline launched from 16 June this year and the sixth due to start from 21 August, the airline said in a statement.
Announcing the increased frequency, Sajid Khan, Country Manager for India at South African Airways said, “The positive response to our fifth and sixth flights has spurred on the need for an additional flight. This increase in frequency is a testament to our commitment to this market, giving customers the option of a direct flight between Johannesburg and Mumbai any day of the week.”
This route is served with an Airbus A330 with 36 business and 186 economy class seats.
