South African Tourism in India has released a cookbook titled ‘Guide to Vegetarian, Vegan and Jain Dining in South Africa’. The tourism board has
partnered with South African Chef’s Association (SACA) to set out specific dietary requirements of vegetarians, vegans and Jains travellers.
“The book has recipes of Jain cuisine which will be distributed across 6000 chefs in the hospitality industry of South Africa. We understand that Jains are very particular about their cuisine and this guide will give the Chefs of our country a perfect guidance to prepare delectable cuisine for Jain travellers,” said Hanneli Slabber, Country Head for South African Tourism in India.
The rainbow country received 90,367 Indian tourists in 2011.
