International live sports and music events specialists Sports Events 365 has not only revealed it has made the decision to enter the Chinese leisure market but that it is also expecting the new sector to become its best-performing region.
Set up in 2006, the Israel-based organisation has for the last 12 years been building its value and reputation, steadily increasing its reach to customers across 150 countries with almost 60,000 different events annual events. But now it makes its first foray into China with its new brand PiaoYou365 and a rather tasty partnership with the country’s online travel agent and industry monster Ctrip.
“We expect sales in China to reach $2 million to $3 million in 2019”
The partnership will enable Ctrip customers to purchase tickets on the website using Sports Events 365’s “independent and self-owned, destination-based database and search engine”.
Not stopping there the company has begun to forge relationships with local suppliers to develop its B2B network in the region with 20 Chinese tourism and sports tourism companies that will purchase tickets directly from Sports Events 365 on a permanent basis.
Predicting the success of the expansion “We expect sales in China to reach $2 million to $3 million in 2019, which would make that market our largest,” adding “the Chinese are particularly interested in football in England, Spain and Italy as well as American sporting events, primarily basketball.”
In addition to all this, Sports Events 365 will be adding to local employment by boosting its regional office with more local Chinese workers, to handle the huge expected demand around the clock, 52 weeks a year. Company efficiency will be further aided in upcoming months with the installation of a web hosting infrastructure in the country.
