China’s largest low-cost carrier, Spring Airlines, has unveiled plans to launch a series of new international flights.
This phase of expansion will commence on 26 August, when the airline inaugurates a new route linking Hangzhou, in eastern China, with the Korean island of Jeju. This service will operate four times a week, every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
Then on 23 September, Spring will launch three weekly flights (Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays) from Fuzhou, in southeast China, to Bangkok.
Following that on 27 September, Spring will commence a series of new flights to Japan.
The airline plans to launch twice weekly flights (Tuesdays and Sundays) connecting the northeastern Chinese city of Changchun with Osaka, and four weekly services (Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays) between Yinchuan and Nagoya. Yinchuan is the capital of northwest China’s Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, and the flight to Nagoya will include a stop in Changzhou, in eastern China’s Yangtze Delta region.
Finally on 28 September, Spring will increase the frequency of its Shanghai-Nagoya route to daily, up from the existing four flights per week.
Based in Shanghai, Spring operates a fleet of 180-seat, all-economy class Airbus A320 aircraft.
