Baggage scanners at Stansted Airport have voted to strike over the August bank holiday weekend.
Forty members of the GMB union, who scan bags before they are loaded onto aircraft, are due to strike at 330 and 1530 for two and a half hours from Friday 23 August to Tuesday 27.
Travellers due to fly during that period will either be delayed or will travel with only cabin bags.
The GMB union said 92% of its members were in favour of industrial action over backdated pay cuts proposed by their employer Mitie.
An airport spokesperson told the Telegraph it hoped to reach an agreement with the union but if not will minimise disruption for the 30,000 due to fly each day during the weekend.
