Starwood Hotels & Resorts has made its debut in the Klang Valley area of Malaysia, close to Kuala Lumpur.
The company officially launched the Four Points by Sheraton Puchong this week, a modern, 249-room hotel.
Facilities include a fitness centre, outdoor swimming pool, restaurant, lounge, and more than 1,350m² of meeting space, including a 760m² ballroom.
“We are delighted to debut Four Points by Sheraton Puchong… following the latest success of the brand in Penang,” said Chuck Abbott, Starwood’s regional vice president for Southeast Asia.
“As the fifth Four Points by Sheraton property in Malaysia, the brand will enable us to cater to the growing middle class and the increased number of business and leisure travellers in the market.”
Starwood currently operates 12 hotels in Malaysia, in key destinations including Kuala Lumpur, Langkawi, Penang, Kota Kinabalu, Sandakan and Kuching. It also has with six more properties in the pipeline.
Six out of nine Starwood brands are represented in Malaysia: Aloft, Four Points by Sheraton, Le Méridien, Sheraton, the Luxury Collection and Westin.
