Two instore events have helped Barrhead Travel see its cruise sales increase 67% year-on-year.
The events in the Oswald St store in Glasgow with 14 cruise lines drew in more than 450 people with one-off deals available on the day to entice bookings.
Sales were most popular for the Mediterranean, Caribbean and Far East as well as sailings from Southampton and P&O’s new Britannia ship.
Sharon Munro, Barrhead Travel chief executive, said: “This year’s cruise events have been our most successful yet. People are learning more about the deals on offer and the flexibility in terms of departure points and it’s becoming a very viable option for many holidaymakers.”
The travel group aims to continue growing its cruise bookings.
