A new submarine tourism venture has launched in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
Heaven On Ocean Tourism unveiled its ‘Coral Safari’ on 20 February, in a launch ceremony overseen by Shri Anand Prakash, Chief Secretary of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.
With a 100-seater fully air-conditioned cabin and comfortable seating, the semi-submersible Coral Safari will take travellers on tours around the Andaman Islands, allowing them to explore the deep ocean habitat.
“We are happy to have Coral Safari launch their services in our waters for the best tourist experience. The crystal clear shallow waters with world’s most colourful underwater corals and rarest species of fishes make Andaman & Nicobar Islands heavenly,” commented Shri Anand Prakash.
Prasanna V, Director of Heaven on Ocean Tourism, added that “Coral Safari will be a game changer for everyone who love underwater experience”.
The vessel, designed by US-based Subsea Systems, features a large glass windows inclined at a 45-degree angle to provide views of the underwater ecosystem from close quarters.
“Our vision of giving luxurious and comfortable experience has become a reality, providing our guests and travel partners an unrivalled luxury vacation experience that embodies the Coral Safari brand,” said Gautham Jayaram, Director of Heaven On Ocean Tourism.
