Swiss-Belhotel International has launched a new hotel in the Indonesian city of Balikpapan.
Located in the centre of the East Kalimantan city, the four-star property comes the 34th Swiss-Belhotel in Indonesia and its second in Balikpapan, joining the two-star Swiss-Belinn in the Borneo city.
“Balikpapan is a rapidly growing city with a proud heritage and Swiss-Belhotel International is delighted to open this hotel today,” said Swiss-Belhotel’s chairman & president, Gavin Faull. “Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan will provide a unique experience to its guests through the passion and professionalism carried by its entire staff and management.”
Swiss-Belhotel Balikpapan will feature 230 rooms and 30 apartments, which will be completed by the end of December this year. Each room comes equipped with LCD TVs and broadband internet access.
The new hotel takes the Hong Kong-based hotelier’s total portfolio to 120 hotels and resorts across Asia and the Middle East, including the 34 in Indonesia. It also has a pipeline of 56 hotels under development in the country.
