Hong Kong and Bangkok will be two of the destinations served by Swiss International Air Lines‘ brand new long-haul aircraft, the Boeing 777-300ER.

SWISS will take delivery of the first of its nine new B777s in January 2016, offering 340 seats in three cabin classes. And the airline has now revealed that from the start of the 2016 summer schedule, the new aircraft will be deployed on routes to Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Bangkok. San Francisco, Sao Paulo and Tel Aviv will also welcome the B777s.

SWISS has also confirmed the configuration and cabin products offered aboard its new B777s. The twin-aisle jets will feature eight seats in first class, 62 in business class and 270 in economy. The first and business class seats both recline to form fully-flat beds, and all passengers will be offered Wi-Fi connectivity.

For economy class passengers, SWISS will also introduce a new self-service kiosk offering a drinks and snacks.

“With our new Boeing 777-300ERs we will be setting new benchmarks in terms of our guests’ overall comfort and travel experience,” said SWISS CEO, Harry Hohmeister. “And on top of that, with their state-of-the-art engines, our new twin-jets will give us substantial savings in fuel consumption and carbon emissions terms.”

The new B777s will replace SWISS’ existing fleet of six Airbus A340s. Deliveries of the new aircraft will continue until 2018.

SWISS currently operates a fleet of 65 passenger aircraft, including 29 long-haul jets. The B777s will be the airline’s first ever Boeing aircraft.
