Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts will add its first property in Phuket next month.
The company has been appointed to manage the existing Courtyard by Marriott at Kamala Beach, which will be re-branded as Swissôtel Resort Phuket on 1 April 2012. This will be the group’s third property in Thailand and its first resort property in Southeast Asia.
The resort features 180 suites, with a choice of one to three bedrooms. Each suite is equipped with a separate living room and private balcony.
Resort facilities include a lagoon-style pool, spa and fitness centre and a kids’ club for children. The resort also features eight function rooms and a pre-function area totalling 450m².
“Phuket is one of the most visited regions in Thailand and after operating two hotels in Bangkok for years, we are set to finally open our first resort property in Asia. This project will strengthen our presence and complement our expansion strategies within the region,” said Meinhard Huck, President of Swissôtel Hotels & Resorts.
