Swissôtel to launch at Sanya golf resort
Swissôtel will develop its first resort at a golf complex on China’s southern resort island of Hainan.
The Swissôtel Sanya will be form part of the Sanya Dragon Valley Hot Spring & Golf Resort, which includes an 18-hole golf course in the region. In total, the mixed-use Dragon Valley Resort development will cover 267 hectares when it opens in 2015.
Located 10km from Sanya Phoenix International Airport, the Swissôtel Sanya will offer 300 rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, more than 2,000m² of meeting and banqueting space, as well as a Pürovel Spa & Sport facility and the largest outdoor pool in Sanya. The Dragon Valley Resort will also feature the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business, more than 1,000 luxury villas and 80,000m² of retail space, restaurants and entertainment space.
“We are already successfully managing four… business hotels in the People’s Republic of China, with an additional Swissôtel being built in Chengdu,” said Swissôtel’s President, Meinhard Huck. “A leisure resort in the booming tourist area of Sanya is an optimal addition to our brand.”
