Rhätische Bahn, which operates Switzerland’s largest network of private railways, recently held a dinner for the travel trade in Mumbai.
The exclusive event gathered 35 of the company’s travel industry partners to the Magazine Street Kitchen for a European feast that included home-made cheese and wine. The dinner was also attended by the Consul General of Switzerland, Martin J. Bienz.
“We are extremely grateful to our travel trade partners who have supported us all through the year; this event was a token of appreciation and also to give everyone an experience of Swiss opulence and precision which is synonymous with the brand,” said Sonal Salian, Rhätische Bahn’s market manager for India.
As one would expect, the event has a Swiss railway theme with the guests being presented with train tickets to locate their seats. A chocolate fountain fondue was also on display.
Rhätische Bahn operates numerous mountain rail services in Switzerland, including the Bernina Express and Glacier Express. Earlier this year it conducted a fam trip for the Indian travel trade.
