Taiwan’s V Air flies to Thailand

Taiwan’s new low-cost carrier, V Air, is launching flights to Thailand.
The airline, which is a subsidiary of TransAsia Airways, will commence services from Taipei to Bangkok on 17 December 2014, with services to Chiang Mai following on 7 January 2015.
Both routes will be served using V Air’s new fleet of 194-seat, all-economy Airbus A321 aircraft.
The Taipei-Bangkok service will operate daily, departing Taoyuan International Airport at 0640 and arriving at Bangkok’s Don Mueang International Airport at 0910. The return services will then take off at 1010, getting back into Taipei at 1510.
On the Chiang Mai route, V Air will operate seven flights in January, 11 in February and 11 in March, before settling to a frequency of four weekly flights from April onwards.
Services will depart Taoyuan at 1600, arriving in northern Thailand at 1900. The return flights will leave at 2000, getting back into Taipei at 0040.
