Tauck has plans to launch a new UK website and produce brochures with prices in GBP as it expands its efforts in the market.
A new website at www.tauck.co.uk is now live with its first brochure in pound stirling being distributed with 45 itineraries.
Around 75 UK-based travel agents will also be hosted on ms Savor when it launches in early November after completing a Tauck Academy seminar.
The measures are the latest announced by the tour and cruise company after hiring a UK-based sales team and opening a reservations centre in London.
This is headed by Ray Steward, previously of The Cruise Portfolio, as UK & Ireland country manager along with Emma Taylor and Kathryn Coles both as sales managers.
The moves are the most the 90-year-old firm has undertaken in a country outside of its native US.
“We currently bring travellers to more than 70 countries, so operationally we’re already a global company, and last year we actually hosted travellers from more than 80 different countries on our tours and cruises,” said Steve Spivak, vice president, global sales at Tauck. “However, in order to provide the best possible service to UK-based travellers and travel agents, we knew we had to have more of a presence here. We’ve clearly made that commitment, and we’re looking forward to better serving our guests and travel agents in the UK market.”
