Tauck has announced four of its cruise directors will jointly act as godmothers to its new ms Inspire riverboat when it launches this year.
Bridget Ashton, Lynn Hardcastle, Mary Pierik and Eszter Pusztai will collectively be honoured for their dedication to the company when the ship is christened in Basel on 3 April.
They will be supported by Tauck’s male directors Tod Griswold, Scott Peters, Jeremy Shifferly and Steve Marchant at the ceremony, with Marchant to act as the ship’s cruise director as it enters service on 7 April.
“Our Tauck Cruise Directors and Tauck Directors have collectively been the face of our company for 89 years,” said Tauck CEO Dan Mahar. “They are the direct, critical link between Tauck and our guests, and they do an absolutely incredible job delivering the Tauck experience. I know I speak for our entire staff when I say that we’re thrilled to be recognizing our Tauck Cruise Directors, and by extension, our global team of Tauck Directors, at the Inspire’s christening.”
Ms Inspire will be the first of a new Inspiration-class ship for Tauck and will sleep 130 passengers. Cabins include 22 300-square-foot suites with two French balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows; 32 225-square-foot cabins and four set aside for single travellers.
