easyJet announced its new summer schedule today with 10 new routes across four airports.
The low-cost carrier will launch flights to Moscow and Kalamata, Greece from Gatwick, while its new routes from Luton include Olbia, Sardinia and Mykonos. At Stansted the carrier will now operate year-round flights to Sharm el Sheik, Marrakech and Sofia, with year-round services to Berlin and Krakow available from London Southend.
“Moscow and Kalamata are particularly exciting announcements as they are not currently part of our network. easyJet has proved again and again that when we enter a new market we open it up to both leisure and business travellers by making access to these new destinations easy and affordable,” said Paul Simmons, UK director of easyJet on the announcement.
“easyJet has continued to attract a growing number of business passengers which currently total more than nine million annually. Destinations like Moscow from London Gatwick and Berlin from London Southend will further bolster our standing with them and ensure that they stay well connected to the key business centres in Europe,” he added.
The new schedule comes after the airline launched its first flights from Gatwick to Luxembourg last week.
