THAI receives second new B777
Thai Airways International (THAI) has taken delivery of its second new Boeing 777-300ER.
The national carrier has eight of the wide-body B777s on order as it looks to revamp its long-haul operations, along with the roll-out of its six Airbus A380s. The first new B777-300ER was delivered on August 2012 and the remaining six will be arrive in 2013.
THAI’s new B777-300ERs are fitted with 348 seats in two classes. The 42 Royal Silk business class seats recline 180 degrees and come equipped with 15-inch personal entertainment screens offering 100 movies, 150 TV shows, 500 albums and 60 games. The 306 economy class seats meanwhile, are fitted with 10.6-inch seatback screens and the same entertainment selection as business class. All passengers can also use their mobile phones while onboard.
THAI’s two new B777-300ER are being operated on the Bangkok-Seoul-Los Angeles and Bangkok-Tokyo routes.
