Thai Airways International (THAI) has unveiled a series of new cabin products.
The new concept, which has initially been rolled out on one of THAI’s Boeing 777-300ER aircraft, is designed to offer a contemporary new look, with use of wooden panelling and new upholstery, plus an improved in-flight entertainment (IFE) system.
“THAI works to continually develop its products and services for passenger satisfaction,” said Danuj Bunnag, THAI’s executive vice president of products & customer services. “THAI’s new aircraft interior was designed based on the Thai contemporary concept so that passengers may experience in-flight comfort with the ease of new modern technology.”
The economy class cabin features 306 seats with a 32-inch (81cm) pitch and an 18-inch width. The seats come with a new purple and orange fabric, plus new seat control units and personal 10.6-inch IFE monitors.
The Royal Silk business class cabin offers 42 new seats which are 20 inches wide and convert into fully-flat beds. They feature 16-inch personal IFE screens.
Both cabins will feature new Panasonic eX2 IFE systems, offering a range of on-demand content including Thai, English, Chinese, Japanese and Indian movies.
The refitted B777 will operate on routes including Singapore, Shanghai, Seoul, Los Angeles, Copenhagen, Stockholm and Oslo.
