Akaryn Hotel Group has unveiled a trio of new properties in Southeast Asia.
Due to open in time for the region’s peak tourist season, the new additions to Akaryn’s upscale portfolio include the company’s debut properties in Bangkok and Vientiane and a new resort in southern Thailand.
Due to open on 1 December 2016, the akyra Beach Club Phuket will be set on Natai Beach in Phang-Nga province, 20 minutes from Phuket International Airport. A sister property to the existing Aleenta Phuket Resort & Spa, the new akyra will offer 59 rooms and villas, a spa, gym, beach club, beachfront pool, cabanas and dining options.
Also opening in December, akyra Thonglor Bangkok will become the brand’s second urban property, following the existing akyra Chiang Mai. Located in Bangkok’s trendy Thonglor district, the hotel will feature a pool with pool bar, executive lounge, function spaces, a restaurant and a 24-hour fitness centre.
“Thonglor is my favourite part of Bangkok. I live in the neighbourhood and there is a good reason why those in the know choose to spend most of their leisure and business time there,” said Akaryn’s founder & managing director, Anchalika Kijkanakorn. “Thonglor is exciting, arty, cutting edge, full of design inspiration and art galleries.”
Finally, Akaryn will make its debut in Laos with the opening of The President by Akaryn in Vientiane. Located next to the Mekong River, this colonial-style hotel will offer 32 rooms and suites.
