RUPERT HOGG has been appointed CEO of Cathay Pacific, officially replacing Ivan Chu on 1 May. Hogg, who previously served as the airline’s chief operating officer, will now lead Cathay through its three-year transformation programme. He will also become chairman of Cathay Dragon, the regional airline.
GORDON DRAKE has become Six Senses’ new chief financial officer. He brings more than 13 years of hospitality experience to the role, including several positions with Kingdom Hotels Investments since 2007. He has also been a board member of the Savoy Hotel in London and at Mövenpick Hotels.
CHRISTINA SPYKERMAN has been appointed as Worldhotels’ executive vice president for Asia Pacific. She takes over from Roland Jegge who spent more than two decades in the role. Ms Spykerman steps into the role following her previous position as regional VP of sales & marketing for Asia Pacific.
PAUL LOO has been announced as Cathay Pacific’s new chief customer and commercial officer, effective 1 June. Loo first joined the company in 1991 and has held a number of key roles, including general manager for China and, most recently, director of corporate development & IT.
YUKIO KANAO has been named as the new general manager of the historic Imperial Hotel in Tokyo. Kanao has worked with Imperial since he graduated from university in 1984. Most recently he was the hotel’s deputy GM and senior managing director of parent company Imperial Hotel Ltd.
MANUEL LANG has been appointed hotel manager of Banyan Tree Phuket. A German national, Lang brings more than two decades of experience to the resort, much of which has been spent in Thailand. Recently he was GM of Cham’s House on Koh Kood island and at Putahracsa Hua Hin.
SIMON BARNETT has been named as the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney’s new hotel manager. Melbourne-born Barnett has worked at the property for six years, during which time he has achieved three promotions, most recently from the position of director of marketing, He has also worked with Hilton and Jumeriah.
HELEN RADIC has replaced Simon Barnett as director of marketing at the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. Ms Radic joins the luxury hotel from Sydney Harbour Marriott Hotel, where she served as director of sales & marketing. She also previously acted as hotel manager at Sir Stamford Circular Quay.
